Today 162k for 1,629k. From Juhan’s farm near Sauble Beach to Hills airbnb in Meaford. Some harder single track, tough climbs, and a couple of killer steep hike-a-bike sections. These were offset by a tailwind most of the way.

Coming into Meaford I saw this Hills bike shop was open and not on the bt700 route map. So I stopped to say high and found they also have four airbnb suites and so took one. Eric Baldwin, the owner, gave me a local Duxbury cider and we chatted for a while about my bikepacking trips, his extensive travelling and vision for Hills. Hills has four spacious modern boutique suites, each with two bedrooms, and even a washer and dryer. The bike shop provides repairs and rentals (bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters). Cyclists not staying in the suites can have a shower and wash and dry their clothes! Hills offers guided or self-guided hikes, rides, and snowshoeing. For more information see www.hillsmeaford.com.
