20220921 ONXL Day 14

Today 146k for 1918k. From Collingwood (at David and Gail Jeffries) to Palgrave (at Sarah Caylor). David in the morning drove me back to where I left the route yesterday. I enjoyed riding the Blue Mountain trails with the amazing views of Georgian Bay. My legs were tired from yesterday’s hefty climbing, so today’s climbing and headwind really tired me. Sarah Caylor had offered to let me stay at her home. But I wasn’t going to make it until way after dark. So at Boybe Park I left the bt700 route and took the most direct route to the Caledon Hills Brewing Co to have dinner together. I made it about 7:40pm before their 8pm closing. Unfortunately Sarah couldn’t make it. So I had dinner and a beer and then went to Sarah’s home near Palgrave. We enjoyed another beer and talked about past and future epic bikepacking trips. Sarah is a legendary bikepacking and 24hr racer. Sarah is also a legendary trail angel, catering to all cyclist coming by.

Here’s my Relive video with photos:
