Today 149k for 2,563k. On the Log Driver’s Waltz route from Carleton Place (Ricky and Margret) to Sharbot Lake (RockHillBB.ca). I really enjoyed riding this section as the dirt roads or trail services were generally very good, the countryside was beautiful with the leaves changing, and there was almost no traffic. Last two days I stayed with my best friends Ricky and Margret in Ottawa. Besides being cared for like royalty by my friends, I got two full physiotherapy sessions for my shoulder, which did not hurt at all today. My friends and I also visited Eric and Jen Betteridge (creators of the Log Driver’s Waltz). It’s a small world, as Margret worked with Eric before retiring and did exercise classes with Jen’s mom. We talked about our experiences on the Tour Divide, which they did this year and I did in 2013. We also talked about the LDW, their ride of it this year, and I got their input for my ride.
