20230622 BT700 798 km bikepacking race done in 4.35 days

From the June 18th mass start (and finish) in St Jacobs I completed 801 kms, with 7,432 metres of climbing, in about 104 hours or 4.33 days.

Special thanks (I think 😅) to Matthew Kadey for creating and supporting the http://www.bt700.ca 798kms monster bikepacking ride! You certainly packed into this route lots of tough climbing and tons of great gravel and single track riding. The aid stations stocked with food and drink were amazing. Thanks to Matthew and Tabi for the dinner they cooked for some of us riders staying at Craig and Linda’s aid station. Also thanks to those supporting the other aid stations, including friend Sarah Caylor’s great food and drinks. Finally, thanks to the other crazy riders I had the pleasure of meeting along the way.

I’ll do another post with photos from the ride.

Cheers…Greg
