Bracebridge Resource Management Area Trails and MORCA Mtb Club

I recently joined and have been really enjoying riding (Mondays at 6pm) with the Muskoka Off Road Cycling Association (MORCA) mountain bike club members on the fantastic Bracebridge Resource Management Area (BRMA) trails that they have built (and continue to build) and maintain. In this post I provide information about and links to BRMA and MORCA with maps, photos and videos.

BRMC trails are located off Highway 11 just north of Bracebridge. There are trails for everyone, from easy green flowy to extremely difficult double black diamond with lots of sketchy rock climbs, ridges and drops. Below is the trail map.

MORCA (https://morca.ca/) was formed in 2018. They have weekly rides at the BRMA on Monday 6pm (for all) and Wednesday 6pm (for women), starting in the south parking lot. For the last several years I have been mostly doing long gravel bikepack riding and no technical mountain bike riding. So I was a little nervous about riding with these local MORCA members on the black diamond trails that they were familiar riding. Luckily all the members have been extremely supportive, showing me the best lines to take, and being patient when a difficult section slowed/stopped me. Thanks to them I’m riding and enjoying the black diamond trails. After last Monday ride we enjoyed a post-ride social with free beer from @RallyBeerCo (part of Muskoka Beer). Below is this event’s @MORCAMTB post with a video of me riding!

Here’s a video that provides an overview of many of the Bracebridge Resource Management Mountain Bike trails.
