Couldn’t start until almost 10am as I had to get SIM card. But soon I was enjoying the Eurovelo 6 route. Today it was an enjoyable mixture of bicycle paths (paved, dirt, and some on top of flood control dikes) and small quiet roads. I had a couple of bike problems. I had to stop to tighten my handlebar to the stem. Also my large fork cage fell off on a bumpy track when the bolt pulled out of the fork. I stopped at a tiny village hardware store and bought and used a hose clamp to put the cage back on. About 6pm it started to rain and forecast called for rain overnight, so I decided to get a dry place to sleep in the small village of Harta. Calling a couple of places only got me a recorded message in Hungarian. I asked a man who luckily spoke English. His father called a local woman that rent rooms to primarily people doing a local Pilgrimage. She met me at the building. With no translator we settled on 20 euro as I didn’t have the necessary amount in Florans.

Cheers…Greg
